VIDEO: That Thiago Alcantara Kung Fu Kick

Call it a Nigel De Jong (probably), call it an Eric Cantona (not so much), whatever your preference, Thiago Alcantara was pretty bold last night.

Former Barcelona man, Thiago made his long-awaited return to action last weekend in Bayern Munich’s win away at Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga, coming on as a late substitute.

The appearance ended a year of injury hell for Thiago as he has suffered numerous setbacks since injuring his knee last season.

He came on once again last night replacing captain Philip Lahm and was inevitably the match-winner for Munich as he scored the decisive penalty as the game went to a shootout.

However, Bayer Leverkusen fans will argue that the midfielder shouldn’t have still been on the pitch.

As the game approached full time, Thiago Alcantara delivered, let’s call it a “suspect” challenge into Stefan Kiessling as he basically Bruce Lee’d him out of no where.

The ref produced a yellow card, but it was quite clearly a red.
