From having under two weeks to put together a brand new team ahead of the 2010 League of Ireland campaign to being on the brink of progressing past KR Reykjavík of Iceland tonight in a Europa League qualifier, Cork City Football Club have come an incredibly long way.
Copa90 travelled to Leeside last week as the Rebel Army played out the opening leg of their first foray into European action since 2008. While in the southern Irish city, they spoke to board members and fans, who at Cork City are one and the same, about the highs and lows this club has been through in recent times.
This video takes us through what has happened since the fans took over, what the club means to the people involved as well as the importance of being back in European action once again.
This is a truly incredible story of dedication and perseverance. The story of how Cork City came back from what looked like a helpless situation and returned to the top of Irish football.
