VIDEO: Manchester United Officially Launch 1990s-Inspired Third Kit

Manchester United have officially launched their 2015/16 third kit today following a dominant performance against Club Brugge in the Champions League play-off round last night.

We already brought you leaked images of this kit thanks to footyheadlines.com but now United have officially unveiled their all-black, 1990s-inspired third shirt for this season.

The new kit is said to have been influenced to a degree by United’s away jersey between 1990 and 1992 (below), which Adidas also made.

This new, sleek design boasts many of the same characteristics as the home and away jerseys but implements the 1990s design on the chest and shorts of the brand new kit, as the all-black jersey fades in the middle of the shorts to become all white at sock level.

United’s sales of the home jersey have already been hugely successful, according to Adidas and we don’t expect this offering to be any different with it’s slick design and unique nod to United’s past glories.

In more pressing matters however, the Old Trafford club await their Champions League group stage faith this evening when the draw is made at 4:45pm UK time. Louis van Gaal’s men are in pot 2 alongside Arsenal and Manchester City.
