VIDEO: Leeds’ Wood Nets Outstanding Game-Winning Goal vs Derby

Having spent almost the entire second half deadlocked, it was going to take something special to separate Leeds United and Derby today, and that’s exactly what we got from Chris Wood.

The 23-year-old was the man of the hour for the Leeds faithful as he finally brought to an end a run of four league draws in a row for his side.

It’s certainly early days yet but as we well know by now the Championship is a notoriously tight league, so every point really does matter in the long run. Wood’s goal could prove to be extremely important come next spring/summer.

Watch the New Zealand international’s stunning 25-yard strike below.

Up next for Leeds is a home game against Brentford at Elland Road.
