We have seen it all now. US Mens’ National Team striker Jozy Altidore was the on the bench last night for Toronto FC against New York Red Bulls. The former Sunderland man returned across the Atlantic having scored just one goal in 42 appearances for the Premier League outfit.
However, last night was a new low for the 25 year-old, who abused the assistant referee for a call made on the field. The assistant did not hesitate to summon the referee, who duly dismissed Altidore from the game.

Incidentally, this referee, Daniel Radford, was also responsible for another somewhat controversial dismissal earlier this season, when he sent off Clint Dempsey for ripping up his notebook.
The MLS is crazy.
