Arsenal announced the signature of Japanese international striker Takuma Asano yesterday afternoon. The youngster has been described as one to watch for the future, and is expected to be loaned out this season.
The 21 year-old striker is highly rated, and has been capped four times for the Japanese national team, and scored his first international goal against Bulgaria last month.
It is likely that he will be loaned out for his first season as Wenger views him as one for the future.
This is be a positive move for Arsenal considering that they need more strength up top with Olivier Giroud currently carrying the entire scoring burden.
Having fallen off the pace in the title race behind Leicester City and Tottenham in the spring last year, Wenger will know that despite ultimately finishing in second place, they were not up to scratch need more firepower.
Asano is undoubtedly a dangerous finisher, and if he is able to bring his form to the Premier League, then Arsenal could have unearthed a gem.
As evidenced in this video, he is a lethal finisher and could be a hit at the Emirates Stadium for years to come.
