It’s a derby that stretches over a hundred years and has only grown in intensity since the first meeting of the two sides back at the beginning of the 20th century.
With this in mind, Copa90 have brilliantly illustrated all the major facts we need to know ahead of this weekend’s latest instalment of the north London derby at the Emirates.
As it stands, second-placed Arsenal are just five points ahead of their north London neighbours in fifth, so aside from the obvious derby motivation this is a massive game for both clubs with the Gunners potentially going top after this Sunday’s clash and Tottenham are striving to enter the top four.
Last season Spurs got the upper hand, drawing the first league game before going on to beat Arsenal 2-1 with a late goal from Harry Kane making the difference.
It will be interesting to see what happens this weekend, but until then here’s some more history behind one of the Premier League’s biggest derbies.
