We have all been there: putting on your nicest suit for a Cup Final, or loudly screaming at a digital referee for not awarding what was probably, no, most definitely a penalty. Football Manager is one of the great video games, and we are all guilty of spending far too much time deliberating over which youth player to call up to the first team squad.
However, at what point does it stop being a hobby and start to become a real problem?
In this video, Cop90 follow the journey of a ‘Tom’ through his latest career mode of the cult game. Fiction and reality have become blurred for Tom. From ‘managing’ next to his sleeping girlfriend, to the ecstasy of getting an open top bus around the town to celebrate winning the cup, this video charts the highs and lows of being a true ‘Laptop Klopp’ or a ‘PC Pardew’.
If you can identify with any of these symptoms, you have a problem, and should probably get your head checked. Enjoy Football Manager for all of its majesty, but don’t take it too seriously lads.
