Twitter Reacts To Outrageous 12-Goal Borussia Dortmund-Legia Warsaw Game

While Tottenham were getting dumped out and Leicester continued their superb Champions League run, we were treated to an incredible goal-fest in Dortmund. Both sides’ defenders decided to take the evening off and let the attackers have a party.

The German side are a young, dynamic and off the cuff team. They have been involved in some high scoring games already this season but nothing like this. Oh yes, 8-4 was the final score! No, you are not seeing things.

Aleksandar Prijovic gave Legia Warsaw a shock tenth minute lead but the home side responded swiftly with a brace from Shinji Kagawa and another from Nuri Sahin.

Prijovic got his second to make it 3-2 but goals by wonder kid Ousmane Dembele and Marco Reus brought Dortmund into a 5-2 lead. An incredible seven goals in just 32 minutes.

There were just the five goals after the interval as Reus completed his hat-trick and, to repeat the scoreline, it ended 8-4.

Here is the best reaction to one of those games that comes along once in a while and just defies all logic.

Paddy Power just missed out on their 7-7 dream but it looked promising for a while….

Better luck next time. It was even 200/1 with Paddy Power to finish 7-7 at one stage!

Here are some other reactions:

Gary Lineker cracked another joke.

Meanwhile, some were impatient in a brief goal draught during the game.

A record-breaking scoreline.

Finally, this heat map summed up things perfectly.
