On Sunday Tottenham booked their place in the FA Cup semi-final with a convincing 6-0 victory at home to Millwall. However, the main talking point of the match was leading goalscorer Harry Kane going off injured early in the first half.
Kane appeared to damage his angle after a challenge from a Millwall defender early in the match. He did manage to walk off the pitch and was replaced by Christian Eriksen shortly after.

The severity of the injury is as yet unknown, although Kane’s leg did appear to bend at an unnatural angle. Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino will be hoping the injury looks worse than it actually is.
Tottenham are second in the Premier League, ten-points behind leaders Chelsea with just eleven games remaining. Kane has scored 19 of their league goals this term, as well as assisting nine and is the key figure in their quest for silverware.
It isn’t the first time Kane has had problems with his ankle this season. He was out from September 18 until November 6 last year with a malleolar injury. Spurs fans will be hoping he isn’t out for as long this time around.
This could also be a blow for England boss Gareth Southgate ahead of naming his squad for games against Germany and Lithuania. Kane is without doubt the best English striker at the moment and was pretty much certain of a place in the starting XI.
Twitter users, including former Tottenham chairman Alan Sugar, posted their reactions to Kane’s injury. Some were declaring Spurs’ season over, some were hopeful it isn’t that serious and one fan is simply praying for a speedy recovery.

Problem is, losing @HKane isn’t just about compromising our ability to score. Harry provides so much more to our play.

An update on the severity of the injury will come on Monday after the striker has a scan. However, one thing’s for certain, and that is if the 23-year-old is out for several games, it’s a huge blow for Tottenham and England.
