Premier League leaders Chelsea travelled to Turf Moor to take on Burnley in the early kick-off on Sunday.
A game of such importance to the title race would no doubt produce several talking points, although the main topic of conversation turned out to be defender David Luiz and his change of hairstyle.
The Brazilian opted against his usual Sideshow Bob-esque afro and decided to put his hair in a ponytail.
The change of look did nothing for his performance, but it led to some typically hilarious posts on Twitter.

David Luiz looking like the bloke your mum insists isn’t trying to be your new dad but he’s helped her ‘free her mind and soul’ through yoga

On the pitch, Luiz limped through the action and was needlessly booked midway through the second half.
The match itself was a tight affair, with the leaders controlling possession but both teams having their fair share of chances. Republic of Ireland international Robbie Brady hit home a brilliant free-kick inside 25 minutes to level the score, after Pedro had given Chelsea an early lead.
Following this, neither team were able to find a winner and the game ended 1-1. That result has extended Chelsea’s lead at the top to ten points and lifted Burnley above Watford into twelfth.
The on-field action may be forgotten quickly, with both teams probably happy with a point apiece, but Luiz may be the butt of a few jokes for the foreseeable future.
