Twitter In Flying Form As Liverpool Are Beaten Again At Hull

Liverpool’s dreadful 2017 form continued on Saturday afternoon as they went down 2-0 to Marco Silva’s resurgent Hull side.

A clanger from Simon Mignolet in the first half allowed Alfred N’Diaye to poke home the opener from close range.

The Belgian came in for yet more criticism on social media.

The Reds continued to threaten Hull’s goal but Eldin Jakupović continued his inspired form he showed at Old Trafford in midweek and the away side continued to struggle break down a well-organised backline.

As Oumar Niasse, a man who should have been sent off against United and been suspended for Liverpool’s visit, popped up with a second goal on the counter-attack after Sadio Mane was dispossessed.

Fans on Twitter were not best pleased, it’s fair to say.

In Manchester, meanwhile, there was a fair bit of schadenfreude about.

It doesn’t get any easier for Klopp’s charges as they host second-placed Spurs next weekend in what has quickly become a must win game.
