Twitter Reacts As Mourinho Nails His First Press Conference As Manchester United Manager

He’s finally spoken.

It was clear as early as January that Jose Mourinho would be sitting in the Old Trafford hotseat next season but it was only confirmed in late May. Today was the first time the Special One spoke to the media.

Twitter had a lot to say about the eventful news conference.

It didn’t take the Portuguese coach long to take a shot at his not-so-illustrious predecessor, Louis van Gaal.

And soon after, he had a not so subtle dig at his old enemy, Arsene Wenger.

One of the highlights of the presser was Mourinho inadvertenly announcing that Henrikh Mkhitaryan. The deal isn’t official yet but it seems nobody told the boss.

He had further revelations about his transfer policy.

He then addressed his record on promoting young players, an issue many fans are concerned about.

Next up, he discussed the Ryan Giggs situation.

His relationship with Sir Alex Ferguson was also spoken about.

Wayne Rooney was the last subject addressed.

It sure is fun to have Jose back.
