Having moved on from playing football to analysing it for Sky Sports, among other outlets, Jamie Carragher made what has these days become a natural transition from the studio to the commentary box for Burnley versus Chelsea.
In an electrifying game, which saw Chelsea’s Pedro score inside seven minutes before Robbie Brady netted a delightful free-kick to ensure the game ended 1-1, Carragher made his debut as a co-commentator.
Despite a few hiccups here and there, many fans were happy with his performance. However, there were inevitably some detractors.
Both, of course, had their say via the medium of Twitter on Sunday afternoon.

Despite being on the receiving end of a fair amount of flak from some viewers, the Liverpool legend was at least able to see the funny side of one of the gaffes he made immediately following Brady’s stunning equalising free-kick.
Big part of goalkeeping smelling the ball as it flies past you! https://t.co/BsGkPjVSGy
