Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that three players are not in his plans for the side next season.

Ahead of what will be a busy season of Premier League and Champions League football, Pochettino has revealed that Nabil Bentaleb, Federico Fazio and Alex Pritchard are all free to leave the club, insisting that they have no future at White Hart Lane.

At a press conference today (in quotes picked up by ESPN), the former Southampton boss explained that the trio’s absence from the pre-season tour was due to the fact that they are now transfer-listed, saying:

“The situation of Bentaleb, Fazio and Pritchard is very clear. They are not in my plans and they know. I have communicated with them and it was made very clear. It’s not a problem. They know the situation and we’ll see what happens.”

Bentaleb made eleven appearances for Tottenham last season (just five of those coming in the league), with Pritchard and Fazio making just one appearance each before being sent out on loan – to West Brom and Sevilla respectively – in the January transfer window.

All three have been linked with moves away from the club recently. Swansea are believed to be lining up an £8m bid for Pritchard, while Fazio has been linked with a move to Everton and Bentaleb with Napoli.

One player who may have a future at the club, however, is Clinton N’Jie. It was thought that the imminent arrival of Marseille winger Georges-Kévin Nkoudou would push the 22-year-old closer to a loan move back to Ligue 1, but Pochettino has handed him an unlikely lifeline by claiming his absence from the tour is down to injury, not his potential departure:

“N’Jie is injured — he picked up a small injury a few days after the start of preseason and he is in London and was not available to come.”

Tottenham continue their pre-season preparations with an International Champions Cup match against Juventus in Melbourne tomorrow, before facing Champions League finalists Atlético Madrid on Friday.
