Tottenham Hotspur extended their unbeaten run in the Premier League this season in some style as they beat West Ham United at White Hart Lane.
Spurs looked far from their best against their London neighbours, and looked like they were headed for their first league defeat of the season as a Manuel Lanzini penalty with twenty minutes remaining gave the Hammers a 2-1 lead.
Indeed, Vincent Janssen, the man who gave away said penalty, isn’t a popular man right now as his debut season in the Premier League continues to go off-script after a £18m summer move from AZ:
Janssen is doing his best to make Soldado look a good signing.

Giving away that penalty was still the best thing Vincent Janssen has done tonight, to be honest.

Janssen was replaced by the returning Dele Alli immediately after giving away the penalty, and worryingly, it already looks like he is fighting to save his career at the club.
It was Harry Kane, moved up front when Janssen was replaced, who was the hero, as two late goals turned it from a potential 2-1 defeat to a vital 3-2 win that sees them extend the gap on sixth-placed Manchester United to five points, as well as drawing to within three points of joint-leaders Liverpool and Manchester City.

Tottenham will face another huge threat to their unbeaten status as they travel to Stamford Bridge next weekend to face Chelsea. Antonio Conte’s side could be on top of the Premier League table by then, and their rampant form will ensure that Spurs face one of their biggest tests of the season.
