Twitter Reacts As Tottenham Destroy Watford 4-1 To Move To Third In The Table

For the second time this week, Tottenham enjoyed a commanding 4-1 win away from home.

Where it was Southampton on Wednesday, on Sunday Watford were the side to feel the wrath of Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

In truth, the result was never in doubt, and when Spurs went in at the break 3-0 up at Vicarage Road thanks to a double from Harry Kane and one from Dele Alli, it was going to be a case of how many they would win by at the end.

They added a fourth (through Alli again) early in the second half, but that was to be it for the away side – indeed a small amount of the shine was taken off of the performance as poor defending right at the death allowed former Tottenham defender Younes Kaboul to poke home past Hugo Lloris in the Spurs goal, handing Watford an undeserved consolation.

However, Tottenham get the three points, they leapfrog Manchester City and Arsenal (though the Gunners are yet to play Crystal Palace at the time of writing) into third, with a massive tie at home to leaders Chelsea to come on Wednesday night.

Social media reflected on what was a strong win for Pochettino’s outfit, as they barged their way back back into the top four:

With this one down, however, Spurs fans’ minds are already looking ahead to Wednesday night…
