The name of Dele Alli will be splashed on front of every newspaper this morning after the England international’s brace against league leaders Chelsea ended their 13-match unbeaten run.
Alli headed home on the brink of half-time after Christian Eriksen’s fine cross and scored a duplicate goal early into the second-half with the Dane being again the provider.
Chelsea ended Tottenham’s title hopes and handed the Premier League trophy to Leicester in a 2-2 draw last season, while the Blues also ended their opponent’s unbeaten run at Stamford Bridge earlier this season, so tonight’s victory will be even sweeter for Mauricio Pochettino’s men.
This was largely thanks to a dominant Alli, who cannot stop scoring at the minute.
The 20-year-old bagged a brace in the 4-1 demolition of Watford, and his two headers tonight meant to he reached twenty goals in a Tottenham shirt in just 52 matches.
That record smashes the total set by Paul Scholes, David Beckham, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard..

However, Alli remained modest and decided to praise his team-mate for wonderful assists.

The former MK Dons star his 7 goals in his last 4 games and doesn’t look like stopping anytime soon.
