This week on Pundit Arena’s Irish football podcast The Mixer, we speak with Finn Harps’ Danny Morrissey on his new adventure in Donegal, look ahead to the LOI’s European adventure, which begins next week, and, as usual, review all of last week’s action and look ahead to this weekend’s match-ups in the Premier Division.
We kick-off the show by discussing Dundalk’s tricky Champions League tie with Norwegian giants Rosenborg before delving into league leaders Cork City’s chances against Estonian outfit Levadia Tallinn in the Europa League, Derry City’s huge task against strong Danish club Midtjylland and Shamrock Rovers’ clash with Icelandic side Stjarnan.
We also spoke to Morrissey about what it will be like going away to Dundalk this week, with the Lilywhites having just trounced their local rivals Drogheda 6-0, his time at Cork City and his new adventure at Finn Harps.
“It’s been good,” Morrissey said of his start in Donegal.
“I wasn’t playing as much as I’d like to back in Cork. I though I needed a change so I met Ollie. I played under Ollie before with the Irish schools so I knew what he was about and just decided to sign up and give it a go and it’s been going well.”
