Eir Sport have announced details for their first televised League of Ireland fixtures of the 2018 season – and they kick things off with three huge matches.
Once again, broadcasting will be shared between eir and RTE for the coming domestic season, and while the latter get the first bite of the cherry with this Friday’s Dublin derby between Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers, the former will showcase the first league meeting of the top two sides in the country in early March.
Cork CIty’s first league trip to Oriel Park on March 9th will be the opening salvo from eir this year -and if it’s anything like Sunday’s enthralling 4-2 comeback win for John Caulfield’s reigning double winners then it promises to be a cracker.
The return fixture between Shamrock Rovers and Bohemians at Tallaght, meanwhile, will be next up for the broadcaster – that tie takes place on April 12th.
Finally, the following week, Bohs will be televised against as they welcome Cork City to Dalymount. Keith Long’s side completed achieved something of a rarity last season by picking up four points against the Leesideers, and will be looking to put a dent in the champions’ title defence.

Further fixture announcements will be made, regarding matches on both eir and RTE, throughout the 2018 Premier Division season.
