Leicester City record signing Ahmed Musa will have quite the audience ahead of the new Premier League season, but the forward insisted he’s unfazed by the pressure of banging in goals for the Foxes.
The Nigerian international became the club’s biggest signing last week following his transfer from Russian outfit CSKA Moscow for £16.6 million.
Musa is a utility forward who can play in a range of different attacking roles, versatility that has bagged him 54 goals in four seasons at CSKA.
Speaking to AfricanFootball.com recently, Musa downplayed the pressure of joining the East Midland club and plans to show his worth this coming August.
“I have never been under pressure at any club I have played and here won’t be different. I will be my usual self at Leicester as there is no cause to be under pressure,” said Musa.
“I love scoring goals and that I have done at every club and league I have played in. That’s the same target I have at Leicester City. I am looking forward to score as many goals as possible to lift the team so we can achieve together.”
Leicester City made history last season by winning the 2015/16 Premier League as major underdogs, finishing 10 points ahead of second-placed Arsenal.
Musa will play alongside star players Jamie Vardy, N’Golo Kante, and Riyad Mahrez next season if head coach Claudio Ranieri can keep the trio at the King Power Stadium.
