Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard is, in all respects, a very famous footballer. World famous you might even say.
He has won the FA Cup, League Cup, UEFA Cup and, of course, the Champions League, in the pursuit of which he played a central role in one of the greatest Champions League final of all time.
He has played for Liverpool 504 times, been capped for England 114 times and his name has become synonymous the world over with tough tackles, inspirational leadership and spellbinding goals.
Well, perhaps not quite the world over.
The Merseyside boy has been playing in the MLS for a year now and it would be fair perhaps to expect LA Galaxy to take some time to appreciate the traits that make Stevie G who he is. However, one would have thought that they would be quicker than this to learn how to spell his name correctly.

It’s all well and good to make a joke about it but given the extensive rumours linking Gerrard with a move back to Anfield next year, surely the least they could do is spell his name correctly.
The mind boggles.
He still hasn’t lost it by the way…
