Manchester United are currently well stocked in the striker department with Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Wayne Rooney and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (albeit injured) all available to fill the striker role.
That said, each of these players has a question mark over their ability to have the desired impact next season. For Rashford and Martial it is inexperience which most will point to, when it comes to Rooney it is his strike rate at this stage of his career and for Ibrahimovic it is his age.
The most touted solution to ease these lingering doubts would appear to be the signing of Antoine Griezmann, but the France international has yet to make any sort of indication he is looking to leave following this season.
Outside of that it is seemingly this term’s Champions League wonder kid Kylian Mbappe who has lit up not only Europe’s premier club competition but also France’s, scoring 14 Ligue 1 goals this campaign despite still being just 18 years old.
It is, however, his aforementioned record in the Champions League which will have tongues wagging and cheque books likely flipping open in the summer.
The below stat sums up exactly the calibre of player we are looking at.
3 – Thierry Henry (5 games) is the only French player to have reached six CL goals quicker than Kylian Mbappe (9 games). Prince.

If Mbappe can even come close to emulating the type of career Henry had then he will be well worth the investment from one of Europe’s top clubs, with Real Madrid and Manchester United thought to be just two of those interested.
