Radamel Falcao has been speaking about his move to England, as the star striker was unveiled along with fellow new signing Daley Blind.
The Colombian superstar stated that he is hoping for a lengthy stay at Old Trafford beyond his one-year loan.
The 28-year-old surprisingly spoke in English as he was unveiled to the press and the Colombian stated that it was his dream to be playing at a big club like Manchester United.
“I hope to stay many years at Manchester United and make history at this club. When I was at Porto and Atletico I always wanted to improve and I dreamed of playing in a team like this. Now I want to stay here for many years.”
The former Porto and Atletico Madrid striker was also speaking about the changes that are currently occurring at Manchester United.
“I see the club on a period of getting to know each other. There’s a lot of news faces. But you’re talking about a lot of top-quality, intelligent players who are bright enough to assimilate any tactics the manager has in mind for us. We will be able to adapt to that on the field and quickly.”
The striker has only recently recovered from a cruciate ligament injury that occurred in January forcing him to miss this year’s World Cup where his compatriot James Rodriguez impressed as Colombia ultimately bowed out to hosts Brazil.
Falcao stated he is “confident in [his] physical form and comfortable with my knee” and news of the Colombian striker feeling confident after a long term injury will ease the doubts that the former Porto striker complication during his medical at Manchester.
Manchester United could now be set to unveil their new look side this weekend against QPR and Falcao should start along with Daley Blind and fellow south American Marcos Rojo.
The 28-year-old is clearly planning to stay at Manchester United beyond a one-year loan deal and this is bound to excite Manchester United fans.
