Southampton seemingly already have a plan in place should they lose Sadio Mané to Liverpool.
The two clubs are currently locked in talks and though the Saints were initially holding out for £40m for the 24 year old, it seems that a £30m deal will probably be agreed before the end of next week.
With that in mind, Southampton are already pressing ahead with signing his replacement, and are understood to be close to tying up a deal for Norwich winger Nathan Redmond, according to Sky Sports.
The England under-21 international is due back from holiday in the coming days, and will undergo a medical at St. Mary’s ahead of an £11m move.
Stoke City were also keen on the former Birmingham winger, but Southampton, still searching for a manger following the loss of Ronald Koeman, look to have surged ahead in the battle to sign the 22 year old.
Redmond scored six goals in the Premier League for Norwich last season, but could not the Canaries’ relegation to the Championship. He also played a big role in England Under-21’s success at the recent Toulon Tournament.
Norwich could also be set to lose Ireland hero Robbie Brady, with a number of Premier League clubs interested in the player following his impressive displays at Euro 2016.
The signing of Redmond could be concluded early next week, which should in turn speed up the process of Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp making Mané his latest summer signing, and the fifth player to swap St. Mary’s for Anfield in the past three seasons.
