Scotland have ceded their 1-0 half-time lead to Slovenia meaning Ireland and Wales are now in the reckoning to finish as one of the top eight second-placed European sides in World Cup qualifying.
Current second-placed side Slovakia are beating Group F’s whipping boys Malta at the moment – and have won out against them earlier in the campaign – but of course given results against the group’s bottom-placed sides don’t count this means the Slovakians will end their campaign on 12 points should results stay as they are right now, leaving Ireland and Wales the opportunity to sneak into the play-off reckoning.
Slovenia’s Roman Bezjak has scored a second goal to put Slovenia ahead of Scotland and on course to finish in third place.
