Sligo Rovers and Bohemians face their second game in four days on Monday night as they face off against each other in the Showgrounds.
John Coleman has a seriously depleted team to choose from as suspensions and injuries take their toll on the Bit O’ Red. Danny Ledwith, Iarfhlaidh Davoren, Ruairi Keating and Paul O Conor are all suspended while Alan Keane and Jeff Henderson are definitely out while Coleman is sweating on the fitness of Gary Rodgers, John Russell and Seamus Connelly.
Speaking about his team’s defeat at the Brandywell Coleman said:
“I thought we were a bit flat in the first half to be honest but we scored an excellent goal through Eamon Zayed.”
In relation to Monday’s game Coleman added the following:
“It is difficult to get any rhythm in the team due to the constant injuries and suspensions. This really has derailed our season. Losing Alan Keane is a massive blow. He has being excellent for me since I came to the club.”
Bohemians boss Owen Heary brings his side to the Showgrounds knowing his team has assured themselves top flight football next season following their 2-1 victory over Bray Wanderers last time out.
Speaking ahead of the game Heary said:
“It’s not an ideal time for a game, we’ve a massive cup game on Friday away to the league champions. The players have confidence now and we’ve shown we are well capable of beating the top teams. We want that to continue.”
Bohemians are again without the injured trio of Stephen Best, Damo Byrne and Anto Murphy. Heary is also without Eoin Wearen who serves a ban after picking up a red card last time out.
Kick off is at 19:45.
