Sky Sports Reporter Claims PSG Are Now Confident Of Landing Alexis Sanchez

Arsenal Sanchez

It’s been a dreadful few weeks for Arsenal and, in particular, their under-fire manager of over twenty years, Arsene Wenger.

Chelsea, Watford, Bayern Munich and Liverpool have all humbled the Gunners recently with the club now staring down the barrel of finally missing out on a top-four spot.

On Sunday evening, reports emerged from The Mirror that Alexis Sanchez had engaged in a series of arguments with the French coach over the past week, culminating in Wenger dropping the Chilean for their crunch clash with Liverpool.

The Reds had too much for the visitors in the first half and despite Alexis’ introduction at half-time, which unquestionably made an immediate difference, they couldn’t peg Jurgen Klopp’s side back.

Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol has added further to Le Professeur’s misery tonight, claiming European giants Paris Saint-Germain are “growing in confidence” that they will prise the Chilean away from the Emirates in the summer.

Unai Emery’s team have been linked with Sanchez frequently of late but Juventus remain the frontrunners for his signature as the Old Lady look to really push into Europe’s elite.

The Mirror’s report added that the confrontation with his boss started after their 5-1 destruction at the Allianz Arena last month.

“Wenger was furious with Sanchez for being selfish, turning on his team-mates both out on the pitch and after the game.

“That has continued in training, with Sanchez’s attitude and work-rate both being questioned behind the scenes because he has become increasingly difficult to manage.”

With the season already all but over for Arsenal in some respects, attentions have firmly turned to the potential events of the summer. While fans remain divided on whether or not the 67-year-old should stay on past this season, there’s a very obvious best case scenario for the North London club as regards to Alexis and it definitely doesn’t involve him learning French come August.
