Sean Maguire has been nominated for SkyBet Championship Player of the Month following a fantastic March.
A return to form after a long injury lay off may usually take some players quite a while to regain, but Preston and Irish international striker Sean Maguire has certainly hit the ground running. His form since returning from a four-month injury layoff has seen him deservedly shortlisted for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award for March.

The former Dundalk and Cork City player has scored a sensational five goals in as many games to continue Preston’s push for the play-off spots in the Championship.
Maguire will face up against tough competition for the accolade, with Middlesbrough’s Patrick Bamford, Millwall’s Shaun Hutchinson and Fulham’s Aleksandar Mitrovic all nominated for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award for March award.
Maguire started his Preston career in scintillating form, before a hamstring injury back in November sidelined the striker for a four-month period. Since his return, he has become Preston’s leading goal scorer this season.
He marked his return from injury with a brace off the bench against Bolton, scoring two goals in his first competitive start since 1st November. He continued on from this brace with another goal off the bench against fellow playoff hopefuls Bristol City, before scoring his fourth and fifth goals of the month against Fulham and Sunderland, respectively.
The winner of SkyBet Championship Player Of The Month will be announced on Friday 6th April at 6am.
