Sean Dyche is on cloud nine right now, and why wouldn’t he be? His high-flying Burnley side are up to fourth in the Premier League, after beating Stoke City 1-0 last night in the Premier League.
As the Clarets lie above Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal, there is a feel-good factor around the club, and it acts as a reminder that money doesn’t necessarily guarantee you success.
The Irish contingent at Burnley have been prominent, with Kevin Long, Stephen Ward and Jeff Hendrick all starting last night, while Jonathan Walters and Robbie Brady are currently out injured.
While they do face a tricky festive schedule, there is no reason to believe that they can’t pick up some more wins along the way.
Dyche is quickly building a big name for himself, and is being touted as a future England manager as he keeps on inspiring serious performances.
Speaking after last night’s game, Dyche spoke of his pride in the team. (We think he’s proud…)
“What story do you want? I’m in a good mood, so whatever story you want, you can write.
“I’m very proud, super proud. The proudest man in Proudsville.
“I’m proud, but what I’m saying is I’m proud of all of it!”
The challenge for the Clarets is now to maintain their form in the coming weeks and months, having fallen apart in the second half of last season.
