This one has been bubbling over since the opening day of the season but it seems Jose Mourinho is now in huge trouble.
The FA have launched an investigation into a complaint of verbal sexist abuse made against Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho according to a report in the Independent today.
The paper explains the details of the breach as follows:
Players and coaches can be penalised for using “offensive, insulting or abusive language and/or gestures”. With an aggravated breach, in this case potentially with reference to gender, a five-match ban is the minimum punishment.
With the rules so clearly outlined and Mourinho literally caught red handed in the clip below, it’s safe to say that it’s a matter of ‘when’ rather than ‘if’ Jose will be punished.
With Chelsea in dismal form, The Special One’s head has already been rumoured to be on the chopping block. However, with this latest twist in the Carneiro controversy, it now seems very plausible that Mourinho may indeed be sacked.
Mourinho can quite clearly be heard yelling ‘Filha da puta!’ in the clip below which rather disturbingly translates to ‘daughter of a whore’. Can Chelsea really stand by their manager when he made such a horribly sexist remark?
This is surely terrible news for Chelsea fans.
