Ronaldihno And Andrea Pirlo May Soon Be Playing Together Again

Turkish Super Lig side Antalyaspor are set to sign two of the best players to grace a football field in the last 15 years, it has been confirmed by their chairman. The club, who currently have Samuel Eto’o within their ranks, are looking to push on from their mid-table position and challenge the oligopoly of the league between Besiktas, Galatasaray, and Fenerbahce.

Antalyaspor chairman, Gultekin Gencer, told IHA that he is confident of landing both signatures.

“We’ve had talks with Pirlo and his agent. He is willing to play for Antalyaspor. We also have ongoing talks with Ronaldinho and his representatives. He is ready to come to Antalyaspor as well.

“We have an agreement in principle with both players. If we can find financial back-up, these deals will be finalised.”

This would be a major coup for the club and the league. Pirlo currently plays with New York FC, while Ronaldinho is signed with Fluminense. While they are 36 and 35 respectively, it is thought that they would have something to offer such a league, and could help the younger players in the squad to make a push up the table.

Plus, from our point of view, we never want to see these two greats retire, so another season to see them play is a fantastic prospect. We loved every second that they played together at AC Milan, and it could happen again very soon.
