Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku has seen his transfer value sky-rocket following the goal-laden start to his Unite career.
United manager Jose Mourinho beat Chelsea to the former Everton front man in July and since pulling on the famous red jersey, the 24-year-old has found the net 11 times in only ten appearances.
Now, according to the CIES Football Observatory, the big Belgian has seen his value increase from an already massive €102.7 million, to an incredible €158.5 million in only three months.
The meteoric €55.8 million increase in value sees Lukaku beat the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Paulo Dybala, who have seen their own value jump by €50.4 million and €47.3 million, respectively.
United are currently enjoying the view from the top of the Premier League table alongside their cross-town rivals Manchester City, a place they have not seen at this point in the season since the days of Sir Alex Ferguson.
Now, with Jose Mourinho at the helm and in his second season in charge at Old Trafford, the Red Devils have once again built the kind of squad that was so feared under the great Scot.
Seemingly scoring at will, with Lukaku at the forefront of United’s indomitable attack, fans are once again beginning to believe that their beloved side are back to where they ought to be, challenging for the top trophies of European football.
