Robbie Keane named among EA SPORTS FUT Captains team

It was a very exciting month for EA SPORTS as they teamed up with well-known Dublin artist Aches to design a unique, customised Dublin City Kit to feature in FIFA 22.

Known for his large scale murals and Graffiti art, Aches moved from the street to the game of football with a City Kit that incorporates his distinctive style bringing Dublin to life in game.

The exclusive vanity kit was specially created by the talented artist to represent the Dubliner’s artistic flare and creativity with its bright visuals, graffiti-style effects and his individual tag.

Another Dubliner was also recognised by EA SPORTS in April as Republic of Ireland legend Robbie Keane was included among the FUT Captains.

FUT Captains celebrates club and national team skippers past and present with special boosted FUT Captains and FUT Hero Captains Player Items. These items bring upgrades for some of football’s greatest club and national team captains and vice-captains, with big boosts to their stats.

Keane, who scored 68 goals during his appearances with the Boys in Green, was named in Team 2 alongside the likes of Jordan Henderson and Joe Cole. Prior to that, Team 1 boasted names such as Diego Milito and Hugo Lloris.

As we head towards the home stretch for the 2021/22 season, it’s time to start looking towards the Team of the Season and EA SPORTS kicked off proceedings by announcing their FIFA 22 Community Team of the Season.

This team celebrates the best of the best who have consistently delivered for their teams all season long and, most importantly, was decided by the fans.

The team contains some big names including Luis Suarez, Wilfried Zaha and Manchester United’s Fred.

With plenty of action in the domestic and European Leagues throughout April, it was also a busy month on the Team of the Week front.

Raheem Sterling kickstarted the month in fine form with a place in the team following his two assists against Burnley. His Manchester City teammate Gabriel Jesus was also named this month as well as Liverpool’s Andy Robertson who netted for his side during the recent Merseyside derby.

A new TOTW is released every Wednesday at 6pm GMT and is available in FIFA Ultimate Team until the next is announced.
