Paul Pogba has been the subject of a huge amount of transfer speculation.
Earlier today, The Independent reported that Manchester United were willing to make Paul Pogba the most expensive footballer in history.
Not only were the Old Trafford club said to have told Juventus they were willing to offer £100 million for the player, but pay him a massive £250,000 per week.
The Mail on Sunday reported a similar story this morning, but added ‘theGlazer family are desperate to restore United’s reputation as the most popular club in Europe despite missing out on the Champions League for the second time in three years’.
However, given that Poga is currently in representing France at the Euros, few believed there would by any movement in the story until the tournament came to a conclusion.
Richard Keys has thrown cold water on that assumption, and sent Twitter into meltdown, by claiming that United ‘think they’ve got Pogba’.
Hearing that Utd think they’ve got Pogba. He wanted Barca. Real can’t afford him – 100m + 250 grand a week. Watch this space #beINSports

Between the constant speculation linking the French midfielder with a move to United and Keys’ tweet, Pogba is now odds on with bookmakers to join United before the end of the transfer window.
Ironically, this latest development in the Pogba story comes four years to the day he originally joined Juve on a free transfer from United.
Four years ago today, Paul Pogba left Manchester United for Juventus.
