Charlie Austin’s QPR future is as uncertain as ever. Four Premier League teams are hoping to tempt him away from Loftus Road.
According the Daily Express, Southampton are the latest team to have joined the race to sign Austin. They made a £10 million bid for the 25 year-old last night.
Newcastle United, West Ham and Chelsea have also shown interested in the striker but none have made an offer. It is rumoured that Newcastle will table their first offer for Austin in the next 24 hours. Crystal Palace are also reportedly keen on signing the player. However, Palace’s money-men are supposed to have blocked manager Alan Pardew’s £15 million offer for Austin.
Sky Bet have West Ham as 6/5 favourites to sign him, followed by Newcastle (2/1), Southampton (4/1) and Chelsea (15/2). The Magpies have been linked to Austin since the season ended.

Sources say that relegated QPR have resigned themselves to the fact that they will lose Austin. However, they will hold out for the £15 million asking price for him. Austin scored 18 goals for The Hoops last season, finishing as the Premier League’s fourth top goal scorer. He also made his England debut in the friendly against Ireland in May.
