Arsenal could be about to lose Héctor Bellerín.
In what has become an all too familiar story for Arsenal fans, Manchester City could be about to raid the Gunners for one of their star players.
After losing Samir Nasri, Bacary Sagna and Gaël Clichy to the Blues in recent seasons, The Times have reported that Pep Guardiola’s side are lining up a move for Arsenal’s Héctor Bellerín.
Barcelona have been linked with a move for the right back in recent weeks, with the Daily Mail reporting that Catalan club were lining up a £30 million bid for Bellerín in the middle of September.
Although the story has since turned went cold, today’s news will particularly worry Arsenal fans. Indeed, despite offering to double his 50K per week pay packet, the right back continues to be courting interest from rival clubs.
Furthermore, should Bellerín decide to leave Arsenal, The Times believe his preference is to join Man City as it would give him the opportunity to once more link up with Pep Guardiola.
However, given that Bellerín’s contract is not due to expire until the summer of 2019, Arsenal will be demanding a substantial transfer fee.
