Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has rung the changes for his side’s Premier League clash with Huddersfield on Saturday.
Having witnessed Man United turn in something of an abject performance in Wednesday night’s 2-0 defeat to Tottenham at Wembley, Mourinho has decided that a shake-up is in order – and the two biggest names to miss out are French international duo Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial.

Martial struggled on the right wing on Wednesday as he made way for Alexis Sanchez on the left, and Juan Mata comes in to a position that will suit the Spaniard far more.
It is, however, Pogba’s replacement that will likely cause raised eyebrows. Having been roundly criticised for his performance against Spurs, the £89m makes way in the starting eleven for 21-year-old Scott McTominay, who makes only his second Premier League start of the season.
Have nothing against McTominay, but difficult to tell if he is coming or going. Is he a defensive or attacking midfielder? Pogba was shocking at Spurs but a demotion seems excessive and you have to wonder if more has gone on between him and Mourinho. #mufc

Phil Jones, scorer of that unfortunate own-goal that really put paid to Man United’s hopes of victory on Wednesday, is left out of the matchday squad altogether with Marcos Rojo partnering Chris Smalling in defence, while Luke Shaw replaces Ashley Young at left-back.
Mourinho will be looking to avenge the surprise 2-1 defeat that Huddersfield inflicted on Man United in the reverse fixture earlier this season.
