You would think that handing in a transfer request via email is as drastic as it gets but, according to reports in Spain, Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho is willing to go much further to ensure his move to Barcelona is given the green light.

Philippe Coutinho was undoubtedly Liverpool’s stand out performer of the season in the Reds last campaign and the Brazilian is certainly a talent that Jurgen Klopp would love to keep a hold of.

However, in modern football, it is only in the rarest of cases that a player refuses the call of Real Madrid or Barcelona when they come knocking and, unfortunately for the Anfield faithful, the 25-year-old seems to be no exception.

Reports last week confirmed that Coutinho had submitted a transfer request in order to force his La Liga move and now, Mundo Deportivo is reporting that the Brazilian has upped the ante even further by informing Klopp that he will not play for the club ever again.

With the Premier League side currently in the midst of a Champions League qualifier with Hoffenheim, Coutinho is likely hoping he can have a very real stab at winning the competition with the Catalan giants this season.
