The transfer saga regarding Paul Pogba’s move to Manchester United continues to dominate headlines, but the Juventus star doesn’t seem any closer to signing for the Premier League side.
Enter Jose Mourinho.
The newly-appointed United manager rarely entertains the media on transfer speculation but spoke briefly about Pogba following Wayne Rooney’s testimonial against Everton last night.
While Mourinho didn’t clearly say that the club is interested in signing the French international, he did state that they’re in the market for at least one more player and mentioned the 23-year-old.
“We are going to sign one more player, Mourinho said. “That’s for sure.”
“I don’t want to speak about Paul because he’s a Juventus player. But the reality is that we are going to sign one more player.
“As you know, the market closes on August 31 so we have plenty of time to do that, but obviously I’d like to do it before the season starts.”

Pogba, a former Youth player at Manchester United, was in New York this week as he continues to enjoy his summer break ahead of the new season.
Many speculated he was in town to watch Real Madrid face Bayern Munich, putting his expected transfer to England in doubt following previous interest from the Spanish side.
Juventus are certainly preparing for life without Pogba, having brought a plethora of new players into the club, including Gonzalo Higuaín from Napoli and Miralem Pjanić from rivals AS Roma.
