Manchester Evening News have addressed whether Anthony Martial will leave Manchester United for Sevilla in the January transfer window.
Having only come off the bench for the last sixteen minutes of United’s 3-1 win over Sunderland on Boxing Day, the player’s agent came out in the media today and proclaimed that he and his client were mulling over an offer from La Liga side Sevilla.
Martial appears to have become disillusioned with his significant lack of playing time at Old Trafford after starting just once in his side’s last four competitive games.
However, it can be argued that the France international has failed to make a serious impact when he has played – just one goal and three assists in eleven Premier League games is a pretty poor return for an attacker of Martial’s quality.
Regardless, he is undoubtedly an asset to any side, and when reports of what Martial’s representative had said reached mainstream news, there was considerable reaction on social media.
Martial’s agent best forget about a Sevilla loan deal. #mufc have no intention of letting him leave on loan next month. Staying put

Lots about Martial around today. United have zero intention of letting him go – on loan or sale.

Elsewhere, it seems that a planned move for Benfica’s Victor Lindelof has broken down, according to the BBC.
The Sweden international would’ve been United’s most expensive defensive signing ever in a deal that would have exceeded £38 million, but Mourinho has decided to not splash out due to the form of Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones.
