The former Shamrock Rovers midfielder curled a beautiful strike into the top corner of the Pat’s goal, giving opposition goalkeeper Conor O’Malley no chance and even hitting the underside of the crossbar for added aesthetic value.
The eir Sport panel at half time lauded the goal, insisting that even two goalkeepers would have struggled to keep it out.

Unfortunately for McCabe and Bray, his 14th league goal of the season was not enough to get the troubled side back to winning ways, as Pat’s asserted their dominance and newfound confidence in the second half. Goals from Conan Byrne, Christy Fagan and Josh O’Hanlon helped Liam Buckley’s side to roar back to a 3-1 win that lifts them out of the relegation zone.
