The papers have gone big this Sunday with two pretty massive claims relating to high profile Manchester United targets.
John Richardson of The Sunday Express has made a pretty bold claim this morning relating to German World Cup winner Thomas Muller.
Bayern Munich opened their Bundesliga season this weekend with a 5-0 spanking of Hamburg with Muller scoring two in the thrashing.
United have been linked with the forward for some time, however continuous word emanating from the club has firmly stated that Muller is not for sale at any cost.
Despite this, the back page of The Sunday Express has gone big with a headline claiming: Muller wants to join Manchester United.
It is widely believed that The Red Devils have already had two giant bids for Muller rejected (the last one apparently north of 60 million pounds) but with this latest turn of events, The Express claim United will make one final move for the highly rated German.

Manchester United fans however, seem to have disregarded this story before it has even hit the shelves with a vast array of abuse being hurled in the direction of Richardson and The Express on social media. One tweet in particular summed up the reception of the story as a whole in 140 short characters…
If United sign Thomas Muller, I’ll cover myself in Branston Pickle and have a strangle wank on top of Blackpool Tower. — ant (@FattusAntus) August 15, 2015
Meanwhile, a slightly more believable piece of news is coming out of Spain relating to Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi.
The Argentine centre back is now reportedly refusing to participate in games for his club for fear that an injury may ruin his proposed move to Old Trafford.
Along with a striker, it is believed that Van Gaal is also very keen on signing a top class central defender before the transfer window closes and Otamendi is apparently his top choice.
According to Marca, the Argentine centre-back has now told his manager; “Don’t select me anymore. I’m not going to play; I’ve got big money at stake”.
According to the paper, Valencia manager Nuno reportedly agreed with the player stating he did not want uncommitted players in his side and will wait until the window closes before reconsidering.
