Manchester United are into the FA Cup Final, but it looks unlikely that they will be finishing inside the top four in the Premier League.
If they are to push on next season, it is likely that they will need to bolster their squad over the summer.
Several names have been thrown about, but the player whom many fans want to see at Old Trafford next season is Renato Sanches.
The 18 year-old is one of the most exciting prospects in Europe at present, and has featured heavily for Portuguese giants Benfica.
However, if the Red Devils are to secure the signature of the young midfielder, they will need to beat off interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs. The Sunday Times are reporting that Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are all hot on the heels of the Benfica star.
It is clear from the clubs interested in Sanches that he is the real deal, and anyone that has watched Benfica play this season needs no more convincing about his talents.
However, the Portuguese clubs are reportedly asking for €60 million.
This would be a major statement by Manchester United, sending the message out to the rest of Europe that they are looking to scoop up the best young talent around.
Sanches, an attack-minded player who can feature down the middle or out wide, has been capped twice for Portugal, and will likely feature at Euro 2016.
