Adding to speculation of a move to Lazio, ageing Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has been spotted at Fiumicino Airport in Rome.

Rumours were mounting surrounding a four-year contract for the Dutch international but Lazio President Claudio Lotito has since claimed that a Van Persie move is ‘total bull’.
He is quoted by Corriere dello Sport as saying,
“Van Persie? Haven’t you figured this out yet?”
“It’s all rubbish! Total bull! (Agent Vincenzo) Morabito is the one trying to spread these rumours.”
It doesn’t look like Van Persie will be headed to the other Italian giants Roma either with Sky Sports Italia claiming that they have also denied interest in the 31-year-old.
Last season Van Persie scored ten goals in 27 league appearances, despite being hampered by injury for all of March and some of April.
At 31, he may be seen as one on the way out but whether he ends up in Rome or not, he is a solid forward signing for any of Europe’s top clubs.
