Manchester United flop Matteo Darmian has been offered to Spanish giants Barcelona, according to Spanish reports.
The Italian is one of many targets on Luis Enrique’s shortlist, with the Catalan outfit unwilling to pay Arsenal’s extortionate demands for Hector Bellerin, who left Barcelona at the age of sixteen for the Gunners.
With Aleix Vidal is expected to leave the Camp Nou in January, Darmian features on a list that includes Juventus’ Stephan Lichtsteiner, AC Milan’s Mattia De Sciglio, Shakhtar Donetsk’s Darijo Srna and Monaco’s Fabinho.
Valencia’s Joao Cancelo currently looks like the most likely to become Enrique’s newest recruit in January.
Earlier last month, the Mirror claimed the relationship between the right-back and his manager Jose Mourinho had completely broken down.
The news outlet’s report also claimed that Italian newspaper Tuttosport knew that the former Torino star had no future at Old Trafford and is free to find a new club.
In other news, the Red Devils are in talks to sign Valencia midfielder Fran Villalba, according to the player’s agent.
The club have been heavily linked with the 18-year-old’s services, who made his debut under United legend Gary Neville during the 2015/16 season.
The Spaniard is believed to have a £3.6 million release clause in his contract, so it will not be an issue of finances should not the deal not come to fruition.
