Manchester United Show Interest In Promising Belgian Youngster [Report]

Manchester United

Having completed four major signings in what has been a productive transfer window for Manchester United, it appears Jose Mourinho is still eyeing up players to improve his squad as he looks to end their three-year title drought.

Weszlo.com (via The Sun) are reporting Anderlecht’s Youri Tielemans has caught the attention of the Portuguese boss. The highly-rated Belgian youngster starred for Anderlecht last season and is on the radar of Europe’s top clubs.

The aforementioned source quotes former Anderlecht youth player Lukasz Plonowski, who has claimed the Manchester United boss had been in touch with Tielemans earlier in the summer, however no bid was lodged with the club.

With Mourinho having already signed four players in Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Paul Pogba to strengthen the spine of his squad, it is thought players will need to leave before any potential new signings arrive.

Former Reds manager David Moyes has already raided his old club, signing Paddy McNair and Donald Love for Sunderland, while Adnan Januzaj is expected to join the Wearside club on loan.

With more departures expected in the coming weeks, United could possibly firm up their interest in the Anderlecht youngster.
