Manchester United Set To Hijack Arsenal Deal For French Pass Master

According to reports in France today, Manchester United are set to swoop in and steal longtime Arsenal target Adrien Rabiot.

The 20-year-old talent has been linked with a move to Arsenal for some time and although PSG are apparently reluctant to see Rabiot leave, reports last week suggested that the midfielder was ‘on the brink’ of completing a move to the Emirates.

The defensive midfielder has been unsettled in Paris for some time and reports have frequently claimed that he has been trying to force a move out of the club since the summer.

Club president Nasser Al Khelaifi spoke highly of the youngster back in September stating that the player remained an important part of the PSG squad. However, the playing time afforded to the French international under manager Laurent Blanc has sent another message to the player himself and it now seems that Rabiot is determined to leave the club in order to secure more regular playing time.

Although it had seemed close to a certainty that Rabiot would be linking up with Arsene Wenger at the Emirates, according to a report in France today, United are set to hijack the deal as they look to strengthen their midfield.

According to the report in Don Balon, United now hold the advantage over Arsenal as they are willing to pay more for the young star. PSG reportedly value Rabiot at £21.4million and, while the Gunners feel the asking price is a bit steep, United are ready and willing to fork out the proposed sum.
