Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool are all being linked with a move for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.
The Daily Express reports that Carlo Ancelotti does not necessarily want to let go of the France international but if a good enough offer should present itself, he would be willing to let Benzema go.
A fee of in and around £40 Million would be required to sign the striker who has only recently agreed terms on a new five-year contract with the Madrid outfit, making him all the more expensive.
All three interested sides could do with a player of the 26-year-old’s quality, however it is clearly Liverpool who are the side in most need of firepower up front with Mario Balotelli not even nearly filling the boots of Luis Suarez, and their main man Daniel Sturridge set to be out until the new year.
Rickie Lambert has also come in but he has also failed to light up Anfield since he signed.
With Danny Welbeck and Robin van Persie finding the back of the net at the weekend, Arsenal and United may be more contented with their strikers than the Reds, particularly with Alexis Sanchez and Wayne Rooney having hit solid form in recent weeks also.
Liverpool need him most but if they can tempt him to Merseyside remains to be seen.
