As Louis van Gaal struggles to find his way in the hot seat at Manchester United rumours suggest Colombian superstar Radamel Falcao’s loan deal may be terminated due to fitness concerns.
There are a number of news outlets carrying the story that Manchester United could terminate Radamel Falcao’s loan deal early. The Express has reported that United are carefully monitoring the situation and will act on any indications that the Colombian is not up to full fitness.
There is a clause in the loan agreement that giving the Red Devils the option of sending Falcao back should there be a recurrence of the troublesome knee ligament injury which saw him miss the World Cup. It seems strange that these reports should emerge after the player’s performance was a bright spot in an otherwise disastrous 5-3 defeat at Leicester on Sunday.
Meanwhile Louis van Gaal is thought to be interested in signing Fulham wunderkind Patrick Roberts in the January window, according to The Mirror.
The 17-year-old, who has impressed for England at underage level, has been described by former manager Felix Magath as “an extraordinary talent”, however the German will struggle to hang on to him in the face of interest from Premier League heavyweights. A £10 million fee would probably be enough to prise the youngster away from the Cottagers who were relegated from the Premier League last term and have made a disastrous start to their Championship season, currently lying bottom of the table.
The winger could be a good signing for van Gaal but he may not have things his own way with Manchester City and Arsenal also in the frame to land the player.
